Jenna Durbin, the 7 year old daughter of Travis and Kendra Durbin of Hillsboro, was named 2015 Little Miss Old Settlers during this year's pageant held at the Moose Lodge in Hillsboro. She was crowned by retiring 2014 Little Miss Old Settlers, Regan Voyles, the daughter of Kenny and Caitlyn Voyles.
This year's first runner-up was Bailey Davis, daughter of Brandi Christian and Jason Davis, and second runner-up was Gracie Ann Chambers, daughter of Nicole Fenton and Jeremy and Abby Jo Chambers.
Other participants were Emmy Grace Trader, daughter of Brandon and Angelica Trader; Hannah Laurent, daughter of Byron and Sarah Luarent; Briley Kirby, daughter of Jackie and Brandon Kirby; and Lilly Taylor, daughter of Eric and Kathy Taylor.
The pageant was held in honor of Old Settlers Association President Kathy Dagon who passed away in April. The Little Miss Old Settlers pageant was one of her favorite events, so pageant Director Chrissie Lentz chose a Mickey Mouse theme this year. Many former Little Miss pageant winners also introduced themselves as part of this year's event.
Sponsors of the pageant were Jorn's Signs, Hillsboro McDonalds, Rosenthal Seeds, Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Sullivans, Diamonds and Dogs, the John and Chrissie Lentz Family, Bre's Bee Hive, the Old Settlers Association, Roger Jennings, Charles and Doris Lentz, and the Hillsboro Moose Lodge.
